Jim is also our go-to expert for unique patina techniques, creating rich, earthy finishes that enhance the rustic design of each work. When he’s not shaping steel, Jim enjoys tending to his own garden—which, of course, features plenty of garden metal decor.

Nicole is the heart and soul of Steel Roots Country. With over 15 years of experience in metal fabrication and a lifelong love for rural aesthetics, she founded the company to share her passion for rustic metal decor with the world. Nicole oversees every aspect of design and production, from sketching initial concepts to applying final finishes. Her favorite part of the job is seeing a client’s face light up when they see their custom piece for the first time. Nicole believes that metal wall decor should tell a story—and she pours that belief into every creation.
